Joe Jammer

Joe Jammer was (in 1971) a precociously talented teenage guitarist from Chicago who on their US tours would work as stage crew for Led Zeppelin. During sound checks he would often get up and jam with them, so impressing Zep manager Peter Grant that he bought Joe to England and set him up with management (himself) and record producer Mickey Most. With americans Steve Hoard on vocals and Tom Blecker on bass, I joined as the sole Brit initially, but after some time my friend Frank Farrell from my previous group ‘Breakthru’ replaced Tom on bass, and some while later London vocalist Reg King took over the vocal position. The Joe Jammer band recorded an album and various singles, but the project was never as successful as it should have been and eventually after yet more musician changes the band split. Joe is still  working live in the States and releases solo albums. For current info on Joe see:
